Looking at the purchase of a 93' JD755 with 60" belly mower and front end loader. Appears to be in good condition with approx. 500 hours. Asking $13,000. High...low...help? This would be my first tractor.

John, really don't know about the price. But, I recently purchased my first tractor and it was a JD755. I bought it at a auction and paid $9500. It had about 450 hours on it, a JD70 front end loader, and a 60 inch JD Belly Mower. It had turf tires and is 4WD. It looked like it had been treated fairly rough and had been left outside, but runs and starts well. After checking the tractor out and some paint, I have been very satified with my purchase. I have used it for many chores around the house and it has lived up to most of my expectations. But, since this is my first tractor, I have nothing to compare it to. I have found, that I would not have been happy with the tractor if it had not had 4WD. I have needed the 4WD when using my box blade, tilling, and with the front end loader. Good luck, with what you decide to purchase. ....

John, That is a bit high. I have a 755 with belley mower and loader with 570 hours and if I were to sell it today I wouldn't take less than 11,500 for it. Things to consider- does it have a 3 point hitch, and 4wd, these were options on the 755. Mine does. I Hope with this and the other post, it gives you a guide to go by. The 9500 price was a very low price, but it was left outside which can do alot of aging to the tractor.David ....

I also have a 755 which I used for all sorts of work on my property. Earlier post is absolutely correct - without 4WD about all you could do is mow, with 4WD loader work, tilling, etc. is very effective. ....

Just purchased a 755 with 60" deck, MFWD, and 3-point hitch for $10,900. Did not have a loader, although I am in the market for one. Tractor was very clean with 240 hours. ....
